Job Description

Introduction

Yodawy is a digital platform for health insurers as well as end-consumers, offering a wide range of state-of-the-art mobile apps and web portals. Leveraging an expanding network of over 2500 pharmacies in Egypt and operating an in-house last-mile delivery fleet, Yodawy aims to be the household name for ordering medications as well as personal care and cosmetics products. Description

As product owner, you will be owning one or more products in one or more of our Yodawy agile development teams. You will be responsible for gathering and understanding customer requirements, translating these into product development stories and the product roadmap/vision and managing the product development process together with your squad’s tech lead. This includes defining epics and stories into actionable tasks for the development team as well as grooming the backlog, working closely with the development team to ensure story acceptance and plan releases, and incorporating quality control into the sprint cycle.

 

Responsibilities

  • Gathering customer (internal & external) requirements.
  • Translating customer requirements into product requirements and design.
  • Creating and defining a product roadmap.
  • Defining user stories for a product.
  • Coordinate technical development work with technical leads for each squad as well as quality assurance tasks with the testing team.
  • Refining and clarifying a product backlog.
  • Revision of product and backlog for continuous improvement.
  • Evaluating product progress.
  • Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing.
  • Tracking project processes, deliverables, and financials.
  • Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a product owner or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques and frameworks.
  • Working experience across multiple scrum teams, ability to communicate agile methodology across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and overall organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous software development experience and/or understanding of software development processes.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
