Job Description
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather input for schedule development and updates.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, including critical path analysis and resource allocation updates.
- Ensure alignment of project timelines with contractual requirements and client expectations.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Analyze project data to forecast resource needs and optimize utilization.
- Support the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis documentation.
- Participate in project meetings, providing expert advice on planning and scheduling matters.
- Continuously improve planning processes and tools to enhance project delivery efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry is A Must
- Strong proficiency in project planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource management.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience working in an office-based environment with occasional site visits as required.
