Job Description

Position Overview

The Retail Food Safety Inspector , will implement all activities relating to Food Safety, serving as customer liaison and coordinator for all Food Safety relations, establishing perpetual education philosophies and practices, ensuring operational efficiencies, designing, developing, and implementing region/facility measurement and monitoring systems for retail operations throughout the organization.

Job Description

  • Audits all retail operations for compliance ,and ensures retail operations are in compliance with EHS & Food Safety program standards. Escalates unresolved items and drives improvement through corrective action follow-up.
  • Leads the implementation of the Corporate Food Safety Management System that includes documentation, control, and adherence to all appropriate regulatory concerns. Ensures that all HACCP plan development, allergen management, documentation, and controls are in place at all facilities and routinely audits for compliance.
  • Leads the incorporation and solidification of Food Safety and EHS requirements per applicable state and company guidelines.
  • Assists in the implementation, modification, and execution of Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) for retail establishments.
  • Audits, reports and corrects deficiencies in food safety, safety, and environmental compliance opportunities within the retail establishments.
  • Trains staff on Food Service Manager Certification and Corporate Compliance requirements.
  • Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
  • Ensures and educates employees on food safety standards.
  • Responsible to issue disciplinary action when directed.
  • Collect product samples for Product Development, lab retains and the laboratory when directed.
  • Perform inspections on Products, Equipment and Machinery.
  • Conducts temperature checks on products and ensure all HACCP, and Heath Authority rules and regulations are followed and manage log books.
  • Communicates products that do not meet specification or quality to the unit production manager.
  • Handle the sales & operations issues inside the retail stores 
     

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering, Chemist or Equivalent relative to Field Expertise.
  • Minimum (1 to 3) years’ experience in a quality control and food safety inspector.
  • Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have Certificates on (HACCP-Food Safety)
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, effectively under pressure, and deadline-oriented environment.
