Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead and manage all tax-related matters for our growing food and restaurant operations in Egypt. The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with Egyptian tax laws and regulations, optimizing tax efficiency, managing tax risks, and maintaining strong relationships with tax authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all corporate tax matters including income tax, payroll tax, stamp tax, and withholding tax.
Manage and ensure accurate preparation and timely submission of VAT returns in accordance with the Egyptian VAT Law and requirements of the Egyptian Tax Authority.
Lead tax planning strategies to optimize tax exposure while ensuring full compliance with Egyptian tax regulations.
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports and reconciliations.
Manage tax inspections, audits, and disputes with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
Ensure compliance with e-invoicing and e-receipt regulations applicable to the food and restaurant industry.
Monitor changes in Egyptian tax legislation and assess their impact on company operations.
Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and legal consultants when required.
Support finance and accounting teams in tax-related matters and provide technical guidance.
Prepare tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with Egyptian Accounting Standards.
Develop and implement internal tax controls and processes.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CTA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Minimum 7–10 years of tax experience, preferably within the food & beverage or retail sector in Egypt.
Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, VAT regulations, and e-invoicing requirements.
Experience dealing directly with tax inspections and audits.
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
