Job Description
- El-Raya Company was established in 1994, and it was initially specialized only in the trade of door linings
-Then in 1996 the company started importing from abroad, which in turn gave El Raya the advantage of being an agent for some well-known brands namely (ITO - DAF - CISA)
-By the beginning in 2005, an expansion occurred, and therefore the company's management was divided into two branches, namely: the import and wholesale branch, in addition to the retail branch and the sale of local iron products and paints
-In 2011, it was another step in the complete commercial expansion at the company's sub-level, as follows:
- Import and wholesale branch: the expansion of all items in the field of irons , and new items have been increased, such as door sills, hinges, locks, nail, stair runners and other types of door and kitchen accessories
- Retail branch: all local brands and paints and working as an agent for most paint companies (GLC, Sipes, Pachin....) in Gharbia.
-By the end of 2020, the company moved towards a comprehensive change in its organizational structure in cooperation with external institutions that were responsible for developing regulatory policies to operate the import and wholesale branch, in addition to developing an expansion plan through some institutions responsible for advertising to achieve significant growth rates in the market during 2020 and 2021 to date
What will you be responsible for?
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies.
- Record financial transactions in accounting books and software.
- Perform financial accounting tasks and record journal entries in line with accounting principles.
- Regularly monitor financial transactions for alignment with company policies.
- Analyze monthly expenses by cost centers.
- Oversee and review import shipment costing in coordination with import and warehouse accountants.
- Assist with tax recording, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Review monthly closing accounts for assets, liabilities, and partner/investor withdrawals.
- Prepare accounting and financial reports as requested by the Accounts Manager.
- Retain books and documents necessary for all accounting operations as per company policy.
- Provide financial suggestions and recommendations to the Accounts Manager.
- Supervise periodic and surprise inventory counts, conduct reconciliations, and identify discrepancies.
- Ensure accuracy and alignment of balances for closing (customers, suppliers, treasury, bank, inventory) on a monthly basis.
- Guide and monitor team performance to meet work requirements.
- Participate in planning and preparing annual budgets.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Proven experience as chief or senior accountant for 1-3 years.
- High Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Power Quary and Pivot Tables.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, bookkeeping.
- IFRS Certificate is a huge plus.
