Job Description
- Oversee the daily operations of the general accounting section, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and other accounting reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in coordination with other departments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the accounting function.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in general accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership.
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing and implementing internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
