Job Description
Instructional Design Leadership
- Lead the design and development of curricula and training content in priority sectors: green economy, digital transformation, blue economy, tourism & hospitality, and care sectors.
- Oversee creation of multi-format content including video modules, e-learning simulations, case studies, role plays, microlearning assets, and interactive exercises.
- Embed employability, soft skills, and foreign language training into sector-specific modules.
- Drive innovation in pedagogy, including blended and hybrid delivery models, gamification, VR/AR simulations, and competency-based micro-credentials.
- Manage and mentor a team of instructional designers, subject matter experts, and digital learning specialists.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Establish and oversee implementation of the SQMS across company and all partner institutions.
- Ensure curricula are mapped to EQF Levels 3–6 and national occupational standards in partner countries.
- Lead quality reviews, curriculum audits, and validation processes, producing periodic quality assurance reports.
- Develop internal guidelines, rubrics, and audit tools to ensure consistency and compliance across learning programs.
- Liaise with accreditation bodies (EU, regional, and national) to align programs with global standards.
Localization & Inclusion
- Adapt training content to local contexts, labor market needs, and cultural considerations in target regions.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusive design, integrating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
- Develop targeted adaptations for vulnerable groups, including refugees, women, and youth in underserved or rural areas.
- Promote gender-sensitive and inclusive pedagogy in curriculum design.
Assessment & Certification
- Develop test banks, performance-based assessments, scenario-based evaluations, and practical skill demonstrations.
- Oversee certification processes, ensuring international recognition and portability of credentials.
- Establish feedback loops with employers and sector skills councils (SSCs) to continuously update assessment tools.
- Pilot and implement e-assessment and proctoring solutions.
Research, Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay abreast of global EU policy developments, and EdTech innovations.
- Integrate evidence-based research into curriculum and instructional design.
- Commission tracer studies and impact assessments to track learner outcomes and inform program revisions.
- Establish data-driven approaches for curriculum enhancement and iterative improvement.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in vocational education, TVET reform, or instructional design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in aligning curricula with EQF or comparable standards.
- Experience in international donor-funded programs (EU, ILO, IOM, UNICEF, GIZ, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with EdTech solutions, digital learning innovations, and hybrid/blended learning approaches.
- Strong experience working across sectors with demonstrated outputs in tourism, green economy, digital, or care sectors.
