Job Description
Lead one of Egypt's established integrated feed, poultry and agribusiness groups into its next chapter.
For over 35 years, Samy Ayed Group has built a fully integrated value chain, from feed manufacturing to poultry, livestock and export agriculture. With 650+ professionals across manufacturing, farms and agricultural operations, we are now looking for a Group General Manager with a strong financial foundation and a proven ability to turn vision into results, to lead the Group's next phase of growth and institutional transformation.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS :
This is not a role to maintain the status quo. You will lead a strong, asset-rich operation with real scale, and you will have the mandate to build the systems, structure and leadership team that will carry the Group for the next decade. You will report directly to the Chairman and the Board.
THE GROUP AT A GLANCE:
• Feed: 5 fully automated production lines with 125 tons/hour capacity, backed by in-house quality labs and an R&D team
• Poultry: 240,000 breeder parent stock, broiler chick production and layer farms
• Livestock: around 1,050 heads of cattle
• Agriculture: 6,000 feddans of export crops in Minya, run on modern irrigation and solar energy
• Market reach: dedicated customer service and technical support for poultry farmers nationwide
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vision & Strategic Leadership
• Translate the Group's long-term vision into a clear multi-year strategy with defined priorities and milestones
• Cascade strategic objectives into business unit plans, budgets and individual KPIs
• Lead regular strategy and performance reviews to keep execution on track and adjust course with agility
Financial & Performance Management
• Own the consolidated P&L, budgets, cash flow and capital allocation, and deliver on financial and operational targets
• Build a robust cost accounting and product costing system across the integrated value chain
• Set and track KPIs for every business unit and support function
• Strengthen financial governance, internal controls and reporting to Board level
Operations & Cost Leadership
• Drive efficiency and profitability across feed, poultry, livestock and agriculture
• Lead the strategy for raw material procurement (corn, soybean meal and others), including managing price and currency volatility
• Ensure the highest standards of quality, biosecurity, food safety and occupational health & safety
Organization & People
• Lead the Group's institutional transformation: organizational structure, policies, authority matrix and governance
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing leadership team of business unit and function heads
• Foster a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement
Growth & External Relations
• Identify and lead growth opportunities in domestic and export markets
• Represent the Group with government authorities, banks, suppliers and strategic partners
Job Requirements
MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting) or Finance
• 18+ years of progressive experience, including at least 8 years in poultry, animal feed, or livestock/agricultural production
• Strong accounting and financial background, with proven senior experience as CFO, Finance & Admin Director, or Financial Controller who progressed into general management or business unit leadership
• Track record of full P&L ownership and measurable results in cost reduction, profitability and growth
• Expert in cost accounting and product costing across integrated production, from cost per ton of feed to cost per chick and cost per kg of output
• Proven ability to turn a long-term vision into an executable strategy, with clear plans, KPIs and accountability across all levels
• Experience leading 500+ employees across multiple sites (factories and farms)
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards / IFRS, taxation, and financial governance

LEADERSHIP PROFILE:
• Visionary and execution-driven: sets a clear direction and makes it happen on the ground
• Data-driven decision maker who leads by numbers without losing sight of operations and people
• High integrity and sound judgment
• Builder of systems and people, not just a manager of operations
• Stable career track record with demonstrated long-term impact
