Job Description
- Lead and oversee the Mathematics Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality instruction aligned with the school’s educational philosophy.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review the mathematics curriculum to ensure it meets national and international standards.
- Mentor, support, and evaluate mathematics teachers, fostering professional growth and collaborative teaching practices.
- Organize and conduct departmental meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote continuous improvement.
- Monitor student progress and achievement in mathematics, analyzing data to inform instructional strategies and interventions.
- Collaborate with school leadership and other department heads to integrate mathematics across the broader curriculum.
- Coordinate the selection and procurement of textbooks, resources, and teaching materials for the department.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and a passion for mathematics.
- Lead initiatives to incorporate innovative teaching methods and technology into mathematics instruction.
- Represent the Mathematics Department in school events, parent meetings, and external educational forums.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching mathematics at the elementary or secondary level.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and departmental leadership.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of educators.
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes in mathematics.
- Ability to analyze assessment data and implement effective instructional strategies.
