  • Qara is a MENA-based disruptive digital ecosystem that enables manufacturers and distributors to
    authenticate, trace, promote, and sell their products throughout the supply chain. Qara is working to become the standard product authentication and traceability platform and the multi-sector B2B
    marketplace for commodities in the Middle East and Africa.
  • Our expanding company is seeking to hire an operations manager to join our leadership team. 
  • You will be in charge of providing inspired leadership for the operation of one of our organization's lines of business, which involves making essential policy and strategic decisions and developing and implementing
    operational policies and procedures.
  •  The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind, Hands-on Approach, and a proven success record in managing multiple departments for maximum productivity. 
  • This person will be highly skilled in human resources, finance, and IT management, and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operations team.

 

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

● Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
● Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding
environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem
resolution
● Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce
cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
● Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems
● Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
● Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
● Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws
and regulations.
● Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and
long-term goals.
● Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
● Support worker communication with the management team.
● Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant
● Oversee materials and inventory
● Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management
● Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.
● Manage the warehouse operation in compliance with the company’s policies and standards.
● Determine material inbound /outbound handling and storage along with warehouse capacity
and partners' requirements.
● Develop and implement an efficient warehouse layout considering material flow and
handling.
● Plan and monitor staffing requirements to ensure productivity, operational efficiency, and high
service level to all partners.
● Manage stock control, and reconcile stock imbalance and other pending transactions on
Odoo.
● Coordinate with fleet and distribution manager, and oversee daily workflows between clients,
partners, and warehouse floor.
● Enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment
and legal requirements.
● Manage inventory count cycles on a weekly basis as per the in/outbound movements for
each item and pinpoint the variance if any.
● Support the senior management team in preparing the annual budget, schedules
expenditures, warehouse operating cost control, KPIs reporting, and analyzing variance

Job Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field.
● Experience in management, operations, and leadership.
● Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet,
and cash-flow management.
● Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
● Excellent communication skills.
● Solid understanding of financial management.
