Job Description
- The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely financial reporting. This role manages all aspects of financial accounting, compliance, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis.
- Works closely with CFO to develop budgets, forecasts, and performance & variation reports
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- The role requires strong leadership to guide and enhance the performance and experience of the finance team and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes, providing variance timely reports to the CFO.
- In addition, helps the CFO in evaluating new ventures and reporting requirements.
- Overseeing accounting operations (GL, AR, AP, payroll… etc)
- Preparing monthly/quarterly/year-end financial reports
- Managing audits and compliance with tax/regulatory rules
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensuring internal controls, completeness and accuracy of reporting
- Supporting cash flow and working capital management
- Overseeing broader finance functions (controlling, treasury, FP&A)
- Team Leadership: manage finance staff, developing, learning, catching and revolving as per experience and skills
- Monitor daily transactions and accounts reconciliation
- Ensure accurate, complete and timely closing of books
- Provide variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast/prior periods)
- Implementing strong internal controls
- Review and develop policies and procedure
- ERP System update and development as business needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
- Background in audit, tax, or corporate finance is an advantage
- knowledge of IFRS and local accounting regulations
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Total Experience in accounting/finance 20 years, with at least 5 years in managerial role.
- Very good strategic thinking capability
- Very good business acumen and exposure of the business model
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in English
