Job Description
- Ensuring that departmental staff understand their responsibilities and carry them out effectively
- Planning & preparing lessons with due regard for the need for differentiation
- Ensuring high teaching and learning standards are maintained
- Ensuring the quality of departmental reporting and assessment is in line with departmental and School policy
- Promoting relevant CPD and peer observation internally and externally
- Delegating appropriately (where possible)
- Managing effective academic induction for staff
- Managing staff performance
- Producing an annual Departmental Review and Handbook in line with the School’s objectives
- Selecting appropriate specifications and devising, producing and updating Schemes of Work for these
- Promoting and monitoring student progress
- Ensuring all examination records and entries are accurate and timely
Job Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
- English proficiency is a must
- Experience in managing people or teams
- Preferable previous experience with managing staff from the same department
- Alexandria Resident
- Native speakers and bilinguals are highly welcome to apply.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience.
- Exposure to the international curriculum.
- Professional educational certificates are highly preferred
