Commercial Director (Kuwait)

We are currently recruiting for the role of Commercial Director with one of our esteemed clients in Kuwait, a leading provider in the cosmetics industry.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing Retail, E-commerce, and Wholesale & Distribution activities, including sales monitoring. Direct the development of visual merchandising plans and guide franchising strategies to achieve long-term profitability and COMPANY 's business objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Formulation:
  • Develop Division’s strategic objectives & KPIs aligned with COMPANY ’s strategy.
  • Monitor Division's operating results, implement measures for targeted objectives.

2. Budget & Cost Control:
  • Develop annual budget for the Division and ensure adherence.

3. Policies & Processes:
  • Develop Policies & Processes aligning with COMPANY ’s standards and laws.

4. Retail:
  • Direct development of annual sales plans, monitor store performance.
  • Guide the development of analytical tools for sales insights.
  • Oversee visual merchandising plans and security control measures.

5. E-commerce:
  • Review and analyze online sales, enhance online shopping experience.
  • Coordinate with Marketing for visual content and customer retention programs.

6. Wholesale & Distribution:
  • Oversee major sales transactions with B2B clients.
  • Review sales figures, participate in contract negotiations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Franchise Partners and 3rd party accounts.

7. Continuous Improvement:
  • Direct continuous improvement initiatives in Departmental operations.

8. People Management:
  • Ensure manpower requirements are met.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, oversee training & development initiatives.
  • Delegate responsibilities and tasks to subordinates.

9. Reports:
  • Review and provide recommendations on reports prepared by subordinates.
  • Maintain Top Management's awareness of Division's activities.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications in Retail Sales or Sales Leadership.

Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the same or related field.

Behavioral Competencies:
  • To be filled after finalizing the Behavioral Competency Dictionary.

Language Skills:
  • Proficient in English and Arabic (verbal, written).

  • All Functions within COMPANY.

Key External Contacts:
  • Customers
  • B2B Clients/accounts
