Position Title: Classroom Assistant
Line Manager/Reporting into: Class Teacher / Headteacher
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

ROLE SUMMARY & JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking an outstanding, committed and energetic Classroom Assistant to join King’s School The Crown to start in August 2023. The ideal candidate must be a caring, child-centered, hard-working, and resilient individual with a motivation to be a positive role model and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young children. The Classroom Assistant must be able to support the social and personal needs of pupils, which ensures that they have a safe and healthy environment in which to learn and develop.

Job Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Although this list is not exhaustive, the position holder will be responsible for the following:
- To support students in providing for their personal care including manual handling, support in eating, drinking and using the toilet.
- To work alongside the teacher and the teaching and learning support assistant to maintain a purposeful, orderly, supportive and safe environment.
- To assist with the development of resources for teaching activities, alongside the classroom team.
- To take part in team meetings, reporting on pupil performance.
- To supervise students during leisure time including on the playground.
- To be aware of the school safeguarding policies and procedures and report immediately to the class teacher and or the head teacher any concerns about a student’s wellbeing.
- To take photographs and videos to record progress.
- Follow Health and Safety procedures and report issues promptly.
- To undertake flexibly any other reasonable requests made by the head teacher, head of department or class teacher in line with the duties of support staff.
