Job Description
- Develop and implement safety programs and policies in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead safety training sessions for employees and ensure they know safety protocols.
- Monitor and report on safety performance, ensuring health and safety regulation adherence.
- Manage emergency response procedures and lead fire safety, first aid, and evacuation drills.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure safety initiatives are integrated into daily operations.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and safety training.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Safety Manager or in a similar safety role in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and solve safety issues proactively.
- Certification in safety management or related fields (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
