Job Description
- Translate written documents, emails, and reports from Chinese to English and vice versa with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Interpret spoken conversations and meetings between Chinese and English speakers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Review and proofread translated materials to maintain consistency, tone, and context.
- Collaborate with various departments to support business operations, negotiations, and client communications.
- Assist in the localization of marketing materials, product manuals, and technical documents for Chinese-speaking markets.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to company data protection policies.
- Stay updated on industry terminology and language trends to ensure translations are current and relevant.
- Provide language support during business trips, conferences, and virtual meetings as required.
- Develop and maintain a glossary of commonly used terms and phrases for internal reference.
- Support the training of staff on basic Chinese language skills and cultural etiquette.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Language, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 5 years of professional experience as a translator or interpreter.
- Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to translate complex documents accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation software and tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to work onsite in an office environment.
