Senior Devops Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our growing technology team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation that power our mission-critical software products.

This role is central to ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across our systems. You will collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and security teams to build a robust, modern DevOps environment that supports continuous delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations (Azure)

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Azure services (App Services, AKS, Virtual Machines, Load Balancers, etc.).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
• Ensure cost optimization, monitoring, scaling, and high availability across all environments.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), Key Vaults, and secure access configurations.

 CI/CD & Automation

• Design and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Automate application builds, testing, and deployments for both frontend (React.js) and backend (Django).
• Integrate quality gates, automated tests, and security scans into the delivery pipeline.
• Optimize deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling deployments).

 Monitoring, Logging & Incident Response

• Set up proactive monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Implement automated incident response protocols and on-call readiness.
• Maintain centralized logging and support root cause analysis and postmortems for production issues.

 Security & Compliance

• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to enforce secure DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with System Architect to realize system architecture in the most cost-efficient manner.
• Manage secrets and credentials using Azure Key Vault, and enforce RBAC policies.
• Conduct regular infrastructure audits, threat modeling, and penetration test support.

Collaboration & DevOps Culture

• Work closely with developers to ensure DevOps best practices are embedded across teams.
• Champion a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps or infrastructure engineers.
