Job Description

  • Collaborating with the team to develop commercially and technically applicable training programs based on the current and future needs of the automotive industry.
  • Drafting, refining, and regularly updating educational materials while ensuring the accuracy of information.
  • Delivering training sessions to academy students while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Collaborating with the team to create visual content for educational materials, used for training and marketing purposes.
  • Developing and establishing periodic training and evaluation programs for the technical team in the maintenance and inspection department.
  • Providing monthly reports on training activities and trainee performance, both for company staff and academy students, to senior management.
  • Adhering to the company’s general policies, decisions, and directives.
  • Committing to the proper use and maintenance of academy assets, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are used for their intended purpose and not for personal use.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Certifications in Automotive Technology (such as ASE, OEM-specific certifications, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
  • Additional training or certifications in adult education or instructional design are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working in the automotive industry, with a strong background in automotive systems, maintenance, diagnostics, or repair.
  • Proven experience as a trainer, instructor, or technical mentor in a professional or educational setting, preferably within an automotive workshop, dealership, or training academy.
  • Experience in developing and delivering both in-class and online training programs focused on automotive technical skills, diagnostic procedures, or vehicle repair.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of automotive systems and technologies, including but not limited to engine systems, electrical/electronic systems, transmission, suspension, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training software to manage, track, and report training activities.
  • Ability to create and update training materials, including presentations, manuals, and practical guides tailored to the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and software used for training purposes.

Teaching & Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Ability to break down complex technical concepts and explain them in simple terms to learners with varying levels of expertise.
  • Skilled in classroom management, leading both theoretical and hands-on training sessions effectively.
  • Proficiency in conducting practical workshops to ensure that students gain hands-on experience with automotive systems and repair techniques.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of automotive industry standards, safety protocols, and emission regulations.
  • Familiarity with the latest automotive trends and technologies, such as electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid systems, autonomous vehicles, and advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to stay current with industry advancements and integrate new technologies into training programs.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ASE Certifications (Automotive Service Excellence) in areas such as Engine Repair, Electrical Systems, or Transmission.
  • Certifications from specific OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), such as Ford, Toyota, BMW, etc.
  • Instructor Certifications in Adult Learning or Teaching Methods.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel for training sessions at various locations, including workshops or other facilities, as needed.
  • Strong commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest trends in automotive technology and training methods.
  • Willingness to undergo periodic assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards and best practices.
