Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Private Label Specialist to drive growth within our food manufacturing division, specializing in concentrates and pasta products. This role is pivotal in acquiring, managing, and expanding relationships with key retail and food service clients for our private label programs. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert who can navigate the technical aspects of food production, manage complex client specifications, and act as the critical bridge between our clients' brands and our internal operations teams to ensure flawless execution from concept to shelf.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Acquisition & Business Development

 

  • Proactively identify, target, and on board new private label clients in the retail, wholesale, and food service sectors for concentrates and pasta lines.

      • Follow up on orders with internal departments until delivery.

      • Study the market and competitors and suggest new opportunities.

  • Develop compelling sales presentations and product proposals that highlight

           our technical capabilities, quality, and cost advantages.

  • Conduct factory tours and product tastings for potential clients.

2. Technical Sales & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary commercial and technical contact for assigned private label accounts.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing,  payment terms, and contractual agreements.
  • Manage the entire product development cycle: coordinate with R&D and QA on client specifications, oversee sample production (lab & factory trials), and secure timely client approvals.
  • Deeply understand production processes for both concentrates (mixing, blending, drying, packaging) and pasta (mixing, extrusion, drying, packaging) to credibly discuss capabilities and constraints.

3. Project Coordination & Order Fulfillment

  • Translate approved client requirements into clear, actionable internal documents (spec sheets, work orders) for Production, QA, and Procurement.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the production cycle, providing updates on order status, timelines, and any potential deviations.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production delays, quality concerns, or logistics in coordination with internal departments.
  • Ensure all client documentation (artwork, nutritional panels,  customs documents) is accurate and timely.

4. Market & Category Analysis

  • Monitor competitor private label offerings, pricing, and market trends in the concentrates and pasta categories.
  • Analyze sales data and category performance to identify expansion opportunities with existing clients (new SKUs, line extensions).
  • Provide insights to R&D and Marketing to inform new product development for the private label portfolio.

5. Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analyses.
  • Ensure all client products adhere to relevant food safety standards .

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of direct experience in sales, business development, or key account management within food manufacturing.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with private label programs is mandatory.
  • Specific technical or commercial experience with food categories, especially concentrates or pasta, is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams (R&D, QA, Production, Supply Chain).
