Job Description

  • Drive business growth in the country by coordinating and monitoring the various land transport projects initiated by country
  • Work with varies stakeholders and support the project team on developing high level and detailed project plans, resolve barriers and problems, and track the progress to ensure a successful project implementation.
  • The Land Transport Project manager is also responsible to develop country level manuals and SOPs, monitor the performance level of the different Land Transport activities and ensure that the performance level is up to the standards set by regional and country management
  • Prepares timely and actionable analysis, forecasts, and recommendations for assigned projects to ensure achievement of business objectives.
  • Develops and follows up appropriate processes and procedures for accomplishing work.
  • Participates in project team meetings with stakeholders and clients to discuss issues, direction, and implementation strategies.
  • Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project team members and other key stakeholders by establishing and maintaining regular communication.
  • Control project regarding time, quality/scope, budget and identify deviations from baseline.
  • Communicates project progress and status to management.
  • Meets customers prospects to understand unique needs and to follow the progress of their plans.
  • Monitors and support the execution of assigned projects on both regional and country level.
  • Uses processes and methods involving complex techniques with some degree of autonomy but under supervision of a direct manager.
  • Conducts frequent stakeholder meetings.
  • Continuously liaise with the Land Transport regional team to implement projects and report on progress.
  • Create quality measurements in line with regional guidelines to track performance levels.
  • Execute regular quality improvement auditing and correction activities.
  • Develop quality assurance standards, Land Transport Manuals and Client SOPs in line with regional standards.
  • Ensure Land Transport services meet customer expectations and demand.
  • Create reports documenting errors and issues for fixing and correction.
  • Adhere to industry quality, compliance, and safety standards.
  • Accountable for timely implementation of project frameworks and structure.
  • Documents relevant project information accurately and according to applicable standards.
  • Creates status report and inform relevant stakeholders (in particular with regard to time, quality/scope and budget) according to applicable SOPs or guidelines.
  • Calls for steering and escalation of projects, if needed.
  • Develops Land Transport Manuals and Client SOPs.
  • Executes regular auditing and reporting of the performance of the various Land Transport activities
  • Maintains a high level of quality and efficiency of the Land Transport product in line with regional standards and client expectations.

Job Requirements

  • University graduate; generally, requires some directly related experience in a project management role.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Basic understanding of Project Management principles and methodology i.e., the project description, the project span, quality, needed resources, possible risk, relevant regulations and guidelines, relevant tools, and methods available for execution.
  • Understanding of the Land Transport industry.
  • Good knowledge and understanding in quality assurance and process optimizations.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Project) skills.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and solving problems related to projects.
  • Strong ability to pay attention to details.
  • Strong knowledge and prowess in using modern communication technologies to projects.
  • Ability to be proactive and independent, and to be interdependent on the team.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders, at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with employees from different departments.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with senior management.
