Job Description

  • Coordinate with strategic management the plan for quality team in the hospital, cascade each for quality specialists /senior/supervisor with expected outcome and monitor their performance accordingly.
  •  Establish hospital’s quality procedures, standards and specifications to create/update policies& protocols& SOPs that all departments has to go by in order to maintain and achieve each expected outcome and fulfil patients’ health & safety goals.
  • Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system across all departments, measure every process against the set standards to ensure the effectiveness of the hospital’s Quality Management and Improvement System & projects. 
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures and checklists conducted by hospital’s staff in order to validate and verify data reported & used in monitoring& enhancement. 
  • Assess the effectiveness of all changes made and measures taken/applied enhancing the services & projects conducted. 
  • Monitor the in-charge & discharge measures of the hospital, develop action plan to enhance the process and accountability of each department (Nursing, physicians, front office, duty manager, etc.) and monitor the compliance accordingly to ultimately enhance bed utilization of each unit. 
  • Establish the quality requirements from external suppliers with supply chain team and make sure each is met to maintain Andalusia standards.
  •  Monitor mortality & morbidity incidences of the hospital, report to management & take corrective/preventive actions accordingly. 
  • Make sure medication errors or drug interaction incidence are kept to the minimum and that all staff members are compliant with set policies & procedures in assessment, double checking & administration. 
  • Monitor the compliance & adherence of physicians and nurses to hospital’s codes and efficient response time on all shifts. 
  • Manage the reporting cycle and investigation of occurrence variance reports (OVR) of all cases, incidences or break downs as stated in hospital policies & make sure all staff members are compliant.
  • Implements a process management and improvement protocols that leads to a positive and measurable impact on the hospital’s operations. 
  • Coordinates different quality and performance initiatives with HR team to ensure alignment and optimal use of resources. 
  • Regularly reports the status of performance and quality improvement efforts and impacts to top management and be part of subsequent measures taken accordingly. 
  • Provide needed training and managing quality team. 
  • Keep record& track of non-functional equipment and time line for its repair in coordination with maintenance and biomedical maintenance departments. 
  • Conduct regular rounds on hospital premises; inpatient unite& OPD, stores, pharmacy units, etc. and ensure storage conditions of all materials& devises are meeting the standards.
  • Review customer requirements and make sure they are met with all hospital’s approaches and included& considered when updating/creating new services or improvement projects. 
  • Develop and implements hospital-wide communication plan, responsibility of each department in all quality improvement projects & service meetings to ensure generating best outcomes possible.
  • Make sure all records generated by hospital staff members are meeting required standards supporting patients’ confidentiality & data accessibility.
  • Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them.
  • Advice on changes to improve process and workflow, take corrective or preventive action when needed and coordinate with hospital management on how to implement them whether by training, tools and techniques to enhance performance of all services provided along with compliance to assigned regulations.
  •  Support and lead the adoption of international healthcare quality standards. 
  • Make sure the hospital is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors and maintain Andalusia brand with regular environmental analysis& gap analysis for current and international standards, Identify all areas of strengths& weaknesses, suggest improvements accordingly & milestones for implementation.
  • Research and design appropriate hospital-wide performance and quality trainings based on employees’ & hospital’s trends and further needs. 
  • Coordinate all quality councils& committees conducted in hospital and make sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business with services provided. 

 

Job Requirements

 Bachelor degree of medical university (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry)

Experience:

  • Min 5 years’ experience in QM field in relevant hospitals or health care entities.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in managerial position

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Government Legislations and policies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health care organizations best practices & protocols.
  • Sound knowledge on the concepts of Quality to the hospitals
  • Change management approaches & practices

  • Proficiency in English & MS tools.
