Job Description

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle process, including billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue capture and reduce claim denials.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on revenue cycle metrics for senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and financial teams to streamline workflows and resolve revenue cycle issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and train revenue cycle staff to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage relationships with third-party payers and vendors to facilitate timely and accurate reimbursement.
  • Address and resolve complex billing and payment issues, including appeals and escalations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to revenue cycle management.

Job Requirements

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management within the healthcare industry, specifically Behavioral/Mental Health. Experience in telehealth is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading revenue cycle teams and managing end-to-end processes.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and managing distributed teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and payer requirements.
  • Proficiency with revenue cycle management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, scrappy, start-up environment.
  • US healthcare experience is REQUIRED
