Job Role:
To manage all database functions ensuring efficient maintenance, security, back-ups and recovery of all needed data.
Accountabilities:
- Install, configure and administrate Data Guard.
- Manage and operate the databases replicated through the storage techniques.
- Design different recovery strategies and performs (backup/recovery) procedures.
- Assist data users and applications development teams during execution.
- Work closely with system administration and application support teams to ensure smooth planning, coordination and cooperation for the common tasks.
- Lead and manage the vendor consultants for the critical projects and issues.
- Document all technical and projects actions and provides reports to management.
- Evaluates database server integrity and security.
- Reviews technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by staff.
- Installing and maintaining database and all related software.
- Ensuring efficient migration, back-ups, recovery, reorganization, performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Providing technical support, troubleshooting consulting and management, and production support for database administration.
- Managing Oracle License renewal.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- University degree preferably Computer science.
- 2 to 4 years of experience
- In depth technical experience in working with multi software operating system and databases.
- Solid knowledge of server hardware and software technologies including (Linux, windows- based Servers).
- Solid Background with Oracle database 12C.
- Oracle Certification (OCA) is a plus.
- Very good ability in setting up and maintaining database.
- Highly motivated with an ability to handle work pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Very good written & spoken English and Arabic.
