Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Dubai.


Responsibilities:


  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Electrical engineering design and analysis
  • Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards
  • Experience in FEED and Detail Engineering jobs
  • Experience in brownfield jobs
  • Experience in Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor package management
  • Experience of the application of HAZOP, e-HAZOP, 3D Model and Constructability Review to Electrical design
  • Experience with Electrical design for prefabricated/modular packaged equipment
  • Experience in Power System modelling and study on ETAP
  • Previous experience of working on site for construction support would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of working in the Middle East/Iraq would be an advantage
  • Ability to work on assigned scope independently
  • Ability to lead designers and junior engineers
  • Proficient in the use of Navisworks, Lighting calculation Software (Dialux etc.) and MS-office
  • Good Oral and Communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate team working skills
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude
Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


  • BSc, BEng or equivalent

Minimum Experience:


  • 5+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas industry
