Job Description
- Assist PR Manager in creating an annual plan and budget for the PR calendar and preparing and monitoring the plan's budget.
- Manage media coverage effectively and timely:
- Open and maintain communication channels with the media
- Maintain regional and international media contacts
- Arrange media coverage and press releases for all collections, features, events and initiatives
- Prepare press releases for publicity and promotional purposes
- Arrange interviews between the media and key designers or any company personnel
- Monitor the media’s coverage of the company both locally and internationally
- Document all of the above effectively
- Monitor potential opportunities for coverage
- Implementation of PR activities calendar
- Assist in developing all company communication material including company profiles, synopsis, etc…
- Update the company website with all news and editorials
- Implement and co-organize company events and company’s participations in local and overseas events
- Execute all Azza Fahmy magazine photo shoots
- Prepare all PR tools, press releases, press kits etc
Operational Excellence
- Provide external parties with company’s products and necessary material for promotional uses
- Communicate with PR agencies abroad and timely provide them with all necessary products and material
- Provide regular news updates to all AFJ employees and execute internal PR initiatives such newsletters.
- Work with all franchisee PR teams to execute the PR plan
- Provide the PR Manager with all needed information, reports, analyses and adequate advice and recommendations to support planning and decision-making for the Marketing & Sales department.
- Co-develop and execute the AFJ CRM system
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the PR Manager.
- Research and execute designer collaborations as per strategic PR plan guidelines.
Customer Experience:
- Managing client relationships and building long-term partnerships with key client groups.
- Providing feedback and dialogue with existing clients, and evaluating current and past projects.
- Executing creative client projects and liaising with key personnel regarding delivery and success.
- Generating new business and identifying growth opportunities within current client contracts.
- Developing a consistent and innovative corporate brand message.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor degree is required, preferably in Mass Communication.
- Work Experience: 5+ years PR experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-end luxury branded environment. A passion for and interest in fashion, and a luxury attitude.
- Language: Perfect command of both spoken & written in English and Arabic. French is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft word programs (power point, word and excel).
- Outstanding public relations skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional customer relationship building skills with the ability to lead a luxury service culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on motivating talent to achieve goals.
- Comfort in making decisions and mediating conflict within a team-environment.
- Ability to address complex issues and allocate time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Ability to identify/assess top talent and train/develop/retain great people.
