Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Monitoring and Reporting:
- Record daily production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Assist in calculating the cost of production per unit and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Work closely with the production team to gather accurate data from the production floor.
- Track material usage and compare it against production plans to identify variances.
- Supporting Budget and Cost Control:
- Assist in preparing cost reports for management to support decision-making.
- Monitor budget adherence and provide regular updates on cost performance.
- Collaboration and Improvement:
- Collaborate with inventory and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost allocations.
- Participate in improving cost control systems and methods for better efficiency.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, specifically in a production or manufacturing Sector.
- Strong understanding of cost control principles, including variance analysis and cost allocation.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems and having advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with production workflows and processes, especially in the filling & packaging industry or similar industries.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments.
