Job Description
- Cimatheque - Alternative Film Centre is looking for an organized Accounting & Admin Officer to manage the financial & admin process of our business.
- Cimatheque is a multi-purpose space that celebrates film and seeks to support the needs of the independent film industry in Egypt
Job Responsibilities:
- Documents all the transactions and financial information in a structured detailed way, meeting all known accounting standards, thereby facilitating the extraction of clear reports for the managing team.
- Prepares and properly organizes all the financial documents, receipts, invoices, contracts and others.
- Analyzes the financial information and ensures its accuracy.
- Closely reviews revenues and expenses regularly, notifying the director in cases of deviation from the estimated budget.
- Handles all forms of business with banks, including the editing, disbursement and deposit of checks, the conduct of transfers, the issuance of balance sheets and so on.
- Is directly responsible for monitoring the company’s funds, and all cash flow from deposits to disbursements.
- Ensures proper bookkeeping of accounting and financial files, and reviews them in both paper and digital copies.
- Deals with the legal accountant, incorporating his recommendations and complying with them, and periodically provides him with the required files.
- Follows up on all of the company’s financial obligations and payments, in the form of wages, invoices, claims, taxes, contracts, permits and other specific forms of transactions in a precise and timely manner.
- Oversees the office's needs for routine purchases, maintenance work, etc.
- Deals with external entities and governmental authorities such as Social Insurance Authority, Telecom Egypt, Electricity Authority, Licensing parties, etc….
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- High Proficiency in Arabic & English is a must (reading, writing and conversational).
- Working knowledge of accounting software QuickBooks.
- Ability to manage budgets, supervise purchases and monitor expenses in an efficient and responsible manner.
- High level of skillful coordination, and ability to work with multiple parties and prioritize accordingly.
- Able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.
