Job Description
The Senior Network & Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's network infrastructure while ensuring robust security measures are in place. This role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, security best practices, and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in both network engineering and security.
- Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, VLANs).
- Expertise in network security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, etc.).
- Proficient in network troubleshooting tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor team members.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Huawei HCIA, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, CISM, or CEH.) preferred.
- Ability to assign and manage IP addresses for cameras and NVRs.
- Experience with platforms like Honeywell, Hikvision, Vivotek, etc.
