Job Description
- Creates manufacturing schedules for production based on customer demand inputs.
- Develops manufacturing work orders in accordance with Material Requirement Planning (MRP) planned order requirements; guides manufacturing on action(s) to be taken.
- Enters, reviews, and analyzes customer firm orders and forecast.
- Communicates ship plans, production delays, and upcoming risks to customers.
- Partner with procurement, production manager, quality, engineering, and program management, and other supply chain disciplines to proactively plan, schedule, and effectively manage development, production, and aftermarket support environments.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Monitors internal and external supply chain alignment – identifies and resolves potential constraints, maintains line of balance (build through) and purchase requests for the production or purchase of components / parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
- Performing inventory cycle counts as required.
- Reviewing and responding to needed adjustments, delivering root cause analysis corrective actions.
- Responsible for coordinating item setup, including bill of material review and development.
- Develops standard and non-standard reports; identifies issues, exceptions and variances and develops solutions to moderately complex issues; reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
Job Requirements
- BSc of production engineering.
- Planning management skills and experience not less than 3yrs and not more than 6yrs.
- Detailed understanding of supply chain principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to time sensitive requests.
- Experience with ERP and MRP systems preferred.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a general understanding of manufacturing planning principles, theories and concepts as well as ability to understand accounting and manufacturing systems in a research or production environment and to learn and apply basic planning tools and techniques; and knowledge of concepts and principles of planning to develop solutions to a variety of problems.
