Job Description

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounting Manager to lead and inspire our dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will oversee all accounting operations, including managing transactions related to assets, liabilities, profits, taxes, and banking activities. You will also play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, managing cash flows, and providing insightful analyses to guide the organization's financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape the Future of Accounting: Collaborate on the development of strategic objectives for the Accounts Department, creating and implementing plans to achieve them while establishing clear frameworks to measure success.
  • Policy & Procedure Leadership: Review, refine, and implement accounting policies, ensuring compliance with recognized standards. Guide and evaluate your team to maintain high performance.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily accounting operations, ensuring all processes run smoothly and effectively.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Establish systems for collecting, analyzing, and verifying financial data, delivering actionable insights to drive decision-making.
  • Set the Standards: Maintain robust accounting controls through detailed charts of accounts and well-defined policies and procedures.
  • Team Empowerment: Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of your accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Documentation Excellence: Ensure all accounting records comply with company policies and legal requirements, with secure archival of documents post-legal period.
  • Strategic Contribution: Influence company strategies by providing financial recommendations, resolving issues, and driving operational improvements.
  • Financial Health Stewardship: Monitor and forecast the company’s financial position by preparing budgets, managing expenditures, analyzing variances, and taking corrective actions.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work with other departments to interpret accounting policies and address operational issues effectively.
  • Safeguard Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality for all financial data and information.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses, comparing results to plans and budgets, and offer actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Financial Planning Expertise: Develop comprehensive long-term and short-term financial plans, aligned with strategic goals and operational objectives.
  • Compliance & Tax Management: Oversee tax accounts, ensuring timely submission of returns and adherence to tax regulations. Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct periodic inventories, supervise monthly and annual closings, and direct team efforts to maintain excellence in operations.

Job Requirements

The perfect match candidate should have the following criteria to be considered for the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Master's degree in finance is a huge Plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience at the same position.
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid understanding local regulations form a financial perspective.
  • Specialized studies such as CMA or IFRS are preferred
