Job Description

  • Monitors the successful execution of all the HR objectives. 
  • Oversees the adherence of each department to the HR policies and procedures and take the appropriate actions in case of any deviation.
  • Follow-up the HR Roadmap implementation plan execution and ensures that all projects produce the required solutions with the required standards of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.
  • Updates and approves the job descriptions, HR policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to be in accordance with the business needs and addresses instances of non-adherence to these policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and approves the overall HR budget (after having the appropriate approval from the top management and manages expenditures to operate within the approved budget guidelines.
  • Acts as key advisor and consultant for the HR department regarding planning, budgeting, policies & procedures, and quality assurance.
  • Oversees the communication plans between the HR department and other departments to ensure the interaction and communication between the HR, employees, and management.
  • Oversees the consistent and fair execution of the performance appraisal system among the school employees.
  • Oversees the Training process and supervise the Training Manager.
  • Conducts monthly progress meetings with the HR employees to discuss progress and status and identify issues, obstacles and potential risks related to each department. 
  • Liaises with other functional/departmental managers to understand all necessary aspects and needs of Human Resources and to ensure they are fully aware of the HR strategy (including vision, mission, values, and goals), policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures the development of an effective organizational structure which is aligned with the school’s strategic objectives and ensures the existence of a healthy working environment within the school.
  • Ensures that the school’s compensations and benefits structure is competitive with the market.
  • Coordinate with the school Managing Director to discuss and approve the school’s salary increases/adjustments, benefits, and incentive plans (if any).
  • Doing the salary and benefit surveys and job levels, job positions and salary structure accordingly.
  • Compile all data gathered from surveys and do some analysis when requested.
  • Reviews new hires, promotions, and transfers for the purpose of budgetary control and Manpower Planning.
  • Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and provisions.
  • Review the end of service dues of any terminated staff.
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases 
  • Oversees the accurate payment and reporting of all employees’ salaries, benefits, promotions, merit, general increases, and salary adjustments, in compliance with the provision of tax laws, country regulations, and school policy.
  • Monitors, measures and reports on HR issues, opportunities, development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
  • Ensures effective departmental/schoolwide performance through the selection, development, deployment, and motivation of competent staff.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring the necessary aspects of HR development.

Job Requirements

  • BA or equivalent on any related major.
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources as a Manager / preferably in schools
  • Advanced computer skills are preferable.
  • High Communication skills.
  • Proficient English communicator both oral and written.
  • A people person with a warm and friendly nature, unflappable under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
