Job Description

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop detailed baseline schedules for architectural and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Break down project scope into deliverables aligned with design stages (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, Tender, IFC).
  • Define project milestones in coordination with clients and project managers.
  • Establish critical path and monitor schedule performance.

2. Monitoring & Control

  • Track progress across all active projects and identify schedule variances.
  • Perform delay analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Update schedules regularly and maintain accurate planning documentation.
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules and recovery plans when required.

3. Coordination & Integration

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, BIM teams, and external consultants.
  • Ensure alignment between design timelines, authority submissions, and procurement schedules.
  • Support Project Managers in aligning workload distribution and resource planning.

4. Reporting & Risk Management

  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management and clients.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to timeline, scope changes, and dependencies.
  • Maintain risk registers and mitigation strategies.
  • Support claims preparation related to time impact analysis (TIA) when required.

5. Systems & Process Development

  • Standardize planning templates and reporting dashboards.
  • Improve scheduling methodologies and planning workflows.
  • Implement project control best practices within the firm.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in planning within architecture consultancy or engineering design firms.
  • Strong understanding of design development processes and authority approval cycles.
  • Proficiency in:
  • Primavera P6
  • MS Project
  • Advanced Excel
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination is an advantage.
  • PMP or Planning/Scheduling certifications are preferred.
