Manager - Defect Management and Aircraft Health Monitoring

JOB PURPOSE:

Leading the defect management (DM) functions to ensure minimum operational impact and disruption, supported by overseeing an effective aircraft health monitoring (AHM) program that ensures safe and compliant operations of the Riyadh Air fleet.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for ensuring technical operational excellence, minimum fleet defects, disruption management and supporting the maintenance and engineering functions in the safe and compliant deployment of the fleet.
• Establish, maintain, and control safety and airworthiness standards for the Company fleet to best practice standards and in conformance with General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) requirements.
• Responsible for effective and compliant monitoring of the active flying fleet to ensure only airworthy aircraft are scheduled for operations with particular attention to minimum equipment list items and cabin defects.
• Implement the airline’s dynamic aircraft health monitoring systems and preventative maintenance deliverables with a focus on maximizing aircraft availability and utilizing next generation digital practices to predict failure and/or operational impact.
• Implement a world class maintenance support system to focus on AOG minimization and defect recovery planning with minimal network disruption.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust, complete, and digitally enabled defect management system for the airline, ensuring the airworthiness of the fleet and meeting regulatory requirements.
• Support the development and implementation of an effective disruption management strategy to ensure a predictable customer centric outcome is always achievable.
• Maintain relationships with OEM, Approved Providers to ensure effective technical support channels are available for Riyadh Air 24/7
• Establish goals and objectives for the DM and AHM team that aim to exceed the Riyadh Air business plan and KPI requirements.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ years’ experience in aviation engineering or maintenance role
• Extensive experience in aircraft health monitoring on Boeing 787
• Experience in the use of AMOS software preferred.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aviation, Engineering or other relevant field discipline or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
