We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.


Our unsecured lending portfolio is a key growth area for WPB, with plans to significantly grow our credit card, loan, and instalment lending businesses. A key part of this ambition is supported by our Portfolio Management activities. We are seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Manager Debit Cards for WPB UAE. This role is an integral part of HSBC UAE’s Retail proposition.


The role holder will lead our product development and related activities for Debit and Global Money Cards. It is a leadership role that is also accountable for journey development for our existing customers, as well as the development of new products and services. 


In this role, you will:


•    Deliver core journey capabilities to ensure existing customers are active and engaged 


•    Improve customer experience across all our existing customer journeys 


•    Track and manage the relevant performance indicators vs core benchmarks


•    Meet the strategic plan for product sales and profitability that is based on customer insights and data


•    Develop and lead new initiatives and product ideas 


•    Ensure strong product control, governance and compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements 


•    Lead in Schemes engagement in negotiations and participation in the Scheme offered incentive programs and reducing Scheme servicing costs


•    Works closely with the Customer teams to reduce complaints with program level and tactical solutions


•    Drives identification of investments needs, preparation of business cases to secure investments, and subsequent prioritisation 


•    Drive usage and activation of the value proposition features


•    Devise and implement campaigns to drive card usage over cash-out to drive interchange revenue.


•    Ensure timely delivery of customer facing and non-facing communication elements


•    Commercialize the Global Money Debit Card tapping into opportunities.  


•    Ensure customer communication is updated at all times and liaise with channels regarding related communication
