Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement of mechanical equipment, materials, and services. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, planning, and vendor teams to ensure timely delivery, compliance with technical specifications, and cost-effectiveness of mechanical purchases across various projects.
Job Requirements
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for mechanical components, systems, and services.
Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs) and analyze supplier bids for compliance with project requirements.
Negotiate commercial and technical terms with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to ensure product specifications and standards are met.
Track and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and avoid project delays.
Manage supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audits and reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, contract requirements, and relevant industry standards.
