Job Description
- Oversees all aspects of the supply chain, including forecasting, sourcing, development of sourcing initiatives, setting and managing inventory levels, Purchasing, transport, warehousing, and distribution
- Establish and manage the following business functions
- Inventory Control
- Forecasting
- Production planning /scheduling
- Purchasing
- Distribution and logistics
- Shipping and receiving
- Implement a fully functional supply chain management/production control infrastructure
Using a strategic outlook to develop a supply chain that mitigates risk, and grows strong supplier partners. - Hire and develop the supply chain team to ensure that the required skill sets are in place and the
- people in the team understand their contribution to the success of the business
- Achieve 'best value" outcomes that consider quality, on-time delivery delivered cost and reliability
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the supply chain team to ensure that strategies are executed effectively and consistently
- Develop and manage material planning function for goods and materials demanded by the company
- Establish and refine standard operation procedures for the supply chain department and ensure that a program is in place to continuously monitor the performance of those procedures
- Lead continuous improvement in the processes of the supply chain that support our business drive to lean manufacturing
- Initiate and manage supply contracts with suppliers of products and services (examples: freight
- carriers and third-party Service Providers (warehousing, transportation, logistics, etc.))
- Establish and maintain key performance metrics to track the performance of the supply chain
- Always look to incorporate ISO processes into daily activities
- Develop, implement and manage the quarterly supplier scorecard process
- Develop a process for finding and approving strong supplier partners
- Work closely with the new product development team to ensure strong sources and good prices are found for new product initiatives
- Develop a team that displays a "Can-Do" attitude, that looks to proactively solve problems, and that prides itself on its customer service.
- Provide expertise in the utilization of ERP systems to help maximize supply chain effectiveness
- Develop and manage overseas component sources to support our growing international sales
- Develop business continuity and contingency plans that enable the company to continue to operate in the event of failure of the service provider
- Work closely with suppliers and customers to improve operations and reduce cost
- Performs other tasks as assigned by direct manager.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
- Working experience with relevant software (e.g. SAP MM)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills

- A strategic and analytical mind
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field
