Job Description

Job Purpose:

This IT helpdesk is the first point of contact with EUI community members. An ideal candidate is responsible for providing robust technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, network, and audiovisuals. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and implements solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
  • Check and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
  • Check service desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process tickets based on severity or first-in first-out.
  • Check configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation.
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Review inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
  • Follow up on issues for escalation and check as appropriate.
  • Coordinate PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software.
  • Assign users and computers to proper groups in active directory.
  • Carry out timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Person Specifications:

  • Education: 

Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.

  • Years of Experience: 

3 to 5 years of experience in the same field with previous experience in Educational field.                 

Other skills and qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge on Microsoft OSs and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Communication skills
