Job Description
We are currently seeking a MEP Technical Office Engineer with a strong background in design and shop drawings to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating MEP design plans, shop drawings, and BIM models for a variety of projects. You will collaborate with other engineers and design professionals to ensure our designs meet project specifications and are completed within project timelines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM modeling to effectively produce high-quality shop drawings and MEP designs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop MEP design plans and shop drawings for a variety of construction projects.
- Create BIM models and perform clash detection to ensure designs meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with other engineers and design professionals to ensure designs meet project specifications.
- Analyze and solve complex technical challenges related to MEP design and shop drawings.
- Review and approve technical submittals.
- Participate in design review meetings with clients and project teams.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in MEP design and shop drawings, preferably in a technical office environment.
- Strong knowledge of MEP design codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
- Experience with BIM modeling and clash detection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
