Job Description
- Maintain all Oracle databases on the cloud and applying database and application patches.
- Design and implement backup policies to ensure data protection and successful Oracle database backup/recovery procedure.
- Have a vision and make plans for any future upgrade.
- Provide suggestions for enhancing the Database performance and tuning.
- Prepare/Review and update Operations Procedures.
- Assessment of overall database performance and identifying all areas of enhancements and applying database best practice designs.
- Monitoring database tasks like storage and resources utilization. Troubleshooting for all Oracle database technical problems and issues, to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
- Ensure proper and successful Oracle database backup/recovery procedure.
- Handling all Service requests open with the software vendor (e.g., Oracle Corporation).
- Providing regular support for Oracle Application Server housekeeping and regular maintenance activities.
- Monitoring Oracle Linux tasks like storage and resources utilization. Troubleshooting for all technical problems and issues.
Job Requirements
- Ability to multitask and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
- Experienced in deploying Oracle Data Guard for multiple sites.
- 4+ years of experience as Oracle DBA and Oracle Application.
