Job Description
- Day-to-day management of the logistics function, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely management of all transportation modes, using approved vendors for Imports and Exports
- Create, monitor and complete shipments on time.
- Prepare and maintain a delivery schedule and communicate to all relevant departments.
- Ensure the integrity and timely preparation and authorization of Import/Export documentation such as Bills of lading, Commercial invoices, and Packing lists.
- Verification of all freight invoices.
- Select cost-effective carriers and assist with the re-negotiating of terms of business/service level agreements and performance evaluation and taking corrective actions as required.
- Investigate lost/damaged product situations and creatively solve issues to mitigate losses.
- Ensure correct Inco terms are used for shipments and provide guidance to Sales and Procurement in optimal Inco term use.
Job Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in the same position.
- Bachelor's degree in any field prefers Logistics.
- Hands-on import & Export logistics
- Excellent command of both written and spoke excellent communication skills
- V good English
- Strong Excel knowledge and skills
