About Us: Persistence Recruitment in conjunction with Jawraa, in collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund's Sovereign Fund Culture and Tourism Destination Giga-Project, are seeking a skilled professional to join as a Senior Database Operations Lead. This role is based in Riyadh and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative Giga-Project.
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Database. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cloud databases. This is a key role in managing databases through various lifecycle environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Ownership and Leadership:
- Take ownership and lead projects related to database operations and support.
- Contribute to the overall success of the database operations team.
Database Management:
- Manage databases through multiple lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Demonstrate excellent hands-on skills in Oracle 19c, MariaDB, and MongoDB.
- Execute database upgrades, patching, and server migrations.
Performance and Monitoring:
- Provide expert support in database administration, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Moderate experience with Data Guard, MariaDB Replication, and TDE Encrypt is essential.
- Utilize native monitoring and troubleshooting tools for Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
Cloud Database Expertise:
- Exhibit excellent hands-on skills with Cloud databases, including Azure and AWS.
Technical Proficiency:
- Exhibit proficiency in both Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory.
- Basic knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages is a must.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with MS SQL databases.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.
- Experience with RMAN backups, restores, and recovery models.
