Job Description

  1. Provide supervision and direction to subordinate pharmacists and non-pharmacist
  2. Ensure the compliance with the rules of the hospital
  3. Forecasting demand of medications and send it to supply chain
  4. Collaborate with I.P supervisor to provide continuity of care for patients.
  5. Works with human resource in handling employee attendance and problems 
  6. Responsible for the preparation of department staffs schedule and assignment.
  7. Make staffing and scheduling adjustment to meet volume and workload demands with collective bargaining agreements
  8. Provide regular communication and feedback to the staff
  9. Participate in designing implementing and evaluating system, processes and methods to enhance quality and improve service.
  10. Perform the duties of all subordinate employees and other duties as required.
  11. Ensure the continuous supply of medications and adjust with storekeeper the regularly orders from stores.
  12. Supervise the inventory, Track discrepancies and apply daily and monthly stock take.
  13. Continuous supervise for the expiry date of medications and coordinate with doctors to prescribe it and supply chain to communicate with suppliers.
  14. Closely observe patients complains ,follow it and resolve it
  15. Ensure all claims for medical insurance companies is complete to prevent any financial loss.
  16. Day by day revise the staff bills and confirm it is comply with the rules of hospital.
  17. Day by day ensure all shifts are closed and have gone to cashier.
  18. Day by day observe discharge medication for patient who will discharge status and confirm it done smoothly. 
  19. Day by day follow new trends for doctors.
  20. Communicate with doctors and supply chain for slow-moving and non-moving items.
  21. Establish OP list medications and provide update every 3 months
  22. Distribute updated OP list on consultants, doctors and supply chain.

Job Requirements

  1. Education: Bachelor degree of pharmacy.
     
  2. Certification: MOH License of practice .
     
  3. Experience: 7 years of experience with 3 at least in the same role “preferred in hospitals ” 
     
  4. Competencies
  • Technical Competencies :
  1. Ability to demonstrate and apply knowledge of contemporary out-patient pharmacy operations , principles, and standards including clinical, professional, legal , business and public relations aspects.
  2. Proficiency in various databases and other computer usage
     
  • General Competencies : 
    1. Leadership   
    2. Must possess self- initiative innovative and collaborative skills
    3. Problem solving
    4. Excellent Communication Skills .
