Job Description
- Assist in the design, configuration, implementation, and support of database solutions on AWS.
- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 support on database-related operational and configuration issues.
- Develop, define, and maintain standards and supporting documentation while adhering to best practices.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with other client team members when required.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and excellent judgment, and possess a passion for continuous learning.
- Deliver innovative solutions in a diverse environment with shifting priorities, wearing many hats all while driving projects and tasks to completion.
- Transition existing workloads to the cloud where possible.
- Research emerging technologies and concepts and make recommendations.
Job Requirements
- At least 7+ years of experience in designing and maintaining databases (relational and non-relational)
- Experience in relational database operations (locking, consistency, serialization, recovery paths, etc…)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as shell/python and procedural languages such as PL/SQL, T-SQL, etc…)
- Experience working with MySQL, Postgres, SQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, Aurora DBS
- Required certifications: AWS Database Specialty
- Desirable certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Oracle DBA, SQL DBA
