Automotive Maintenance Engineer (Buses)
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced automotive maintenance engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full maintenance cycle, diagnostics, and repairs of our bus fleet, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for the bus fleet.
- Diagnostics: Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using modern diagnostic tools (OBD scanners).
- Technical Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of technicians and mechanics, ensuring all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Systems Expertise: Oversee major overhauls of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems (braking and door mechanisms).
- Spare Parts Management: Identify required spare parts, manage inventory levels, and evaluate the quality of components to minimize downtime.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports regarding fleet status, repair history, and maintenance costs.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive or Power Department).
- Experience: 10–15 years of proven experience specifically in bus maintenance (experience with brands like Mercedes, MCV, Volvo, or MAN is highly preferred).
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines, turbochargers, fuel injection systems, and air suspension systems.
- Language: Proficiency in English (specifically technical English for reading manuals and catalogs).
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a workshop environment effectively.
