Key Responsibilities:

Shipment Process and Forwarder/Customs Interactions:

• Shipment Planning and Execution:
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders to book and manage shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary export documentation, including customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
  • Monitor shipments in transit, resolving any issues that may arise.
• Customs Clearance:
  • Liaise with customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance of shipments, complying with all regulations and requirements.
  • Address customs queries and disputes promptly.
• Supplier Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Negotiate favorable rates and terms for shipping and clearance services.
• Cost Optimization:
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce shipping costs, such as exploring alternative routes or negotiating better rates.
  • Monitor and analyze freight costs to identify areas for improvement.
• Risk Mitigation:
  • Assess and mitigate potential shipment risks, such as delays, damages, or non-compliance.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze shipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
