Job Description
- Monitors and effectively operates kiln with all related equipment according to standards, procedures and regulations, so as to reach its maximum efficiency within approved safety limits and achieve production targets.
- Reviews and analyses kiln operation results, identifying issues of consideration and deviations from agreed targets, proposing improvements that will enable its most efficient and productive operation, thus participating and supporting the achievement of plant’s targets in terms of products’ quality, quantity and cost
- Follows-up the effectiveness of process improvements and proposes adjustments whenever necessary, in order to meet agreed standards of quality and cost,
- Communicates and directs kiln operations shift staff, supporting them to overcome production disturbances and manage efficiently the operation activities of the kiln
- Reports to the Shift Leader operation disturbances and issues of consideration, and consults him for major corrective actions, ensuring timely alliance of kiln with production operations, so as to achieve minimum shutdown time
- Overviews that the kiln operates according to the health, environment and safety regulations of the company, identifying and reporting to the H&S Manager areas of improvement, in order to be aligned with the local legislation and company’s standards
- Follows the appropriate health, safety and environmental practices in area of responsibility, identifying and reporting issues of consideration in order to meet company, corporate and governmental standards
- Participates or leads ad-hoc projects that may go beyond his/hers formal accountabilities, so as to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs
Job Requirements
- University degree, preferably in Chemistry
- 3 years of relevant hands-on work experience within a well established cement company
- Excellent technical knowledge of the kiln mills operation process
- Very good knowledge of safety laws and regulations, as well as environment legislation
- Very good communication skills
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
- Ability to set priorities and organize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and take initiatives
- Fluency in English
- PC literacy
