Job Description
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for plant, machinery, and equipment to ensure that these continue to operate at optimum levels.
- Leads and Supervises the Maintenance section in maintenance-related activities and ensures that maintenance practices are carried out in accordance with the accepted standard and industrial norms.
- Monitor the performance of plant and equipment to ensure that their manufacture, operation, and maintenance comply with design specifications and contractual agreements.
- Monitor and revise maintenance schedules as necessary to ensure their continued effective performance.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets to ensure that maintenance is carried out within agreed costs.
- Receiving the maintenance request daily from all company Dept. and taking necessary actions.
- Oversees in troubleshooting complex electrical problems and failures by working closely with the electrical team whenever required.
- Issues reports on major problems and failures, and suggest suitable corrective actions to minimize or prevent the recurrence of the problem.
- Formulates preventive maintenance schedule with associated procedures and checklists, periodically reviews the programs to evaluate their efficiency, and suitably makes changes to the schedule and procedures, based on feedback and field experience.
- Ensure that all documentation and procedures are provided by suppliers and contractors when receiving new plant and equipment.
- Determine the optimum level of spare parts to be held in stock to ensure that availability is maintained at minimum cost.
- Maintain comprehensive records of stocks and maintenance carried out.
- Maintain contact with other departments to ensure that any plant shutdown is carried out at minimum cost and inconvenience.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in the Maintenance field.
