Job Description
The role responsibilities are based on a literature based project with original contents, special characters and wide range of genres. The role is aimed at producing drama videos and live performances for schools. The candidate should be able to travel mainly to the UAE and possibly other countries in the same region to prepare for live performances in schools.
Outside school environment responsibilities:
- Develop and supervise manufacturing of relevant merchandise, such as puppets and mascots.
- Paying close attention to smallest details and aiming for the a best quality in using the right fabrics and accessories to achieve the closest replica of the provided 3D model.
- follow up with the manufacturing process and provide regular update to the management.
- Develop and deliver engaging drama activities in different schools.
- Participate in video clips made for kids to demonstrate the usage of the literature app.
- Create model videos employing the puppets in a classroom environment to guide students and teachers.
- Work professionally with cameraman and provide insights while shooting the model videos.
Inside a classroom environment:
- Plan, organize, and direct student performances, including plays, skits, and improvisational activities.
- Use creativity, collaboration, and self-expression skills in classroom drama activities and drama based school-wide events.
- Assess students and teachers through observation, performance evaluations, and constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly with the management and develop future plans for continuous growth.
- Stay current with trends in drama education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Theater Arts, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
- Some level of experience in teaching drama or performing arts, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of drama pedagogy, performance techniques, and curriculum development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into drama instruction.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to adapt execution of projects methods according to management's requirements.
- Willingness to participate in school drama events, plays and performances, and classroom drama activities.
