Job Description
- Oversee project cost tracking, ensuring accurate job costing and budget adherence.
Manage accounts payable/receivable, subcontractor payments, and lien waivers.
Prepare monthly financial reports, including WIP (Work in Progress) and cash flow forecasts.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax) and contractual financial terms.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to verify costs and forecasts.
Support audits (internal/external) and ensure proper documentation.
Job Requirements
- Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA, IFRS, MBA) is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in accounting/finance, 3 years in MEP or construction accounting.
- Familiarity with percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting for long-term projects.
- Technical Skills & Software Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles (job costing, WIP reports, retention, change orders).
- Understanding of MEP-specific cost codes and project billing cycles.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Odoo, dynamics, Comsys).
- Advanced Excel User.
