Job Description

  • Responsible for  executing projects that support the short and long term marketing strategy
  • Works with insights from research results, production department, Sales, and Finance to ensure the brand remains relevant to consumer and that all initiatives support brand promise/essence
  • Manages the relation with outside vendors related to the brand
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the brand KPIs and performance
  • Participates in brand strategy discussions and in setting clear consumer relevant offerings
  • Share in setting the required  budget
  • Monitor performance against plan periodically and suggest and implement corrective actions if needed
  • Collaborates effectively with sales team in monitoring the trade activities- conduct regular trade visits and adjust brand tactics accordingly
  • Periodic monitoring of the brand mix and pricing, and recommending/implementing changes as appropriate
  • Close follow up on brand profitability – recommending profit enhancement measures if needed (ex. Cost saving initiatives, distribution efficiencies etc.)
  • Effective usage of market research to asses current and potential market opportunities
  • On-going competitor analysis to identify opportunities/threats and act accordingly
  • Reviews channel and customer-specific point-of-purchase trade plans and provides feedback on consistency with marketing plan

Job Requirements

  • College Degree – Preferably (but not confined to) management degrees.
  • MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of experience - Preferably in FMCGs, multinational organizations
  • Demonstrates good understanding of the concept of brand positioning and a proven track record for execution of brand activities in line with its positioning

Job-specific Skills:

  • Good analytical skills, ability to deal with numbers and charts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prepare effective and well-prepared presentations and share them before the audience
  • Multi-Tasking. Ability to manage time effectively
  • Works independently with self-discipline- minimum supervision
  • Flexibility in conducting trade visits and doing business trips inside the country and abroad
  • Complete mastering of basic computer office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
